NEW Wilson Combat Match Grade Barrels for the Ruger 10/22

For those wanting to stretch the most accuracy and quality out of their beloved Ruger 10/22 platform, Wilson Combat now has aftermarket barrels just for that.
Available in either a standard contour or straight flute barrel, both offerings are 16.5″ constructed from Type 416R Stainless Steel. The straight fluted barrel provides more surface area; thus, better heat dissipation. It also only weighs 25.1 ounces which is 1.8 ounces less than the standard contour barrel (26.9 ounces). Both barrels feature a Wilson Combat Black Armor Tuff finish that should match the factory finish of a Ruger 10/22 receiver.
Some further specifications for these new Ruger 10/22 barrels can be read below:
Factory Contour, Precision Chambered for all .22 Long Rifle Cartridges
Target Crowned 16.5” Barrel w/ ½”-28 TPI Muzzle Threads & Matching Thread Protector
Match-Grade, Stainless Steel 1-16” Twist w/ Precision Button Rifling
Drop-In Fit for Standard 10/22 Models & Variants

These barrels appear to have all the ingredients for what should be an accurate and reliable barrel. Understanding they are coming from Wilson Combat, it would be difficult to believe anything else. The biggest question might be is… How accurate are the barrels?… Or what are consumer expectations for a $200 barrel when the gun itself could be bought for around that?…
Wilson Combat provides their own explanation of what goes into these new barrels they have for the Ruger 10/22:
Factory contour, premium-grade and precision chambered .22 Long Rifle 10/22 barrel provides an easy and immediate improvement in accuracy over your original Ruger factory barrel.
Wilson Combat Match chamber combines the accuracy of a target grade rifle with the reliable cycling of a standard factory chamber.
The standard factory-style taper with precision crown will give you a handy but match-accurate 10/22. ½”-28 tpi threaded muzzle for adding a suppressor or muzzle brake. Comes with matching thread protector.

The MSRP of the Straight Fluted barrel punches in at $229.95 while the Standard Contour can be bought for $179.95 to leave extra money for ammo.
